Cat Matlala Trial | State witness Sekgobela is under cross-examination

The state witness in the trial of Vusimusi 'Cat' Matlala and four others, insists that the rights of alleged hitman, Musa Kekana, were explained to him during his 2024 arrest.

Captain Phimi Sekgobela is currently under cross examination in a trial-within-a-trial, where Kekana is fighting to have evidence police obtained against him, declared inadmissible in court.

Kekana is on trial with Matlala, Tsakani Matlala, Tiego Mabusela, and Nthabiseng Nzama.

They are accused of conspiring and attempting to kill Matlala's former partner, Tebogo Thobejane, businessman, Joe Sibanyoni, and music producer, Seunkie Mokubung.
