Japan Earthquake: PM Takaichi says several injuries, collapsed buildings and fires reported

A magnitude 7.1 earthquake has rocked southwestern Japan, knocking out power to tens of thousands of households. The quake struck Kumamoto Prefecture, registering Level 7 - the highest possible on Japan's scale of seismic intensity. Emergency crews are responding to multiple incidents, including a shopping mall that partially collapsed, trapping people inside.
