Fannie Nkosi's bail appeal is set to be heard in the Pretoria High Court today.
The suspended sergeant attached to Gauteng Police's Organised Crime Unit, seeks to overturn the Pretoria North Magistrates' Court decision to deny him bail.
He appeared briefly before the same court last week to place his new legal representative on the record.
During that appearance, the NPA requested a postponement to the 22nd of July to consolidate two cases against him.
Nkosi is currently facing several charges, including theft, defeating the ends of justice, unlawful possession of explosives and ammunition, as well as firearm-related offences.
He also faces additional allegations of tampering with evidence and interfering in a dagga case.
