Norway fans bring viral 'Viking row' to Times Square

Norway supporters turned Times Square into a sea of red on Sunday as they performed their now-viral "Viking row" ahead of their team's World Cup clash with Senegal.

The synchronized chant and rowing motion first gained widespread attention in Boston before Norway's tournament opener against Iraq and has since spread across bars, trains, boats and stadiums across the US.

Fans gathered in the heart of New York City and even took the tradition onto a sightseeing boat around Manhattan, saying the celebration reflects their Viking heritage and gives them something uniquely Norwegian to share with the world.
