Limpopo Province concludes safe 2026 winter initiation school season

The 2026 initiation school season in Limpopo has officially concluded.

Returning initiates from different parts of the province were welcomed back by their families, who held cultural ceremonies in their honor.

Limpopo MEC for Traditional Affairs Basikopo Makamu officially closed the initiation season at Xigalo village in Malamulele.

More than 1000 initiates at Phokwane village in the Sekhukhune District were among those that returned home safely.
