Madlanga Commission | Criminal case after anonymous witness exposed

The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry is instituting legal action against a person who exposed the identity of a witness who testified behind closed doors.

Commission Chairperson, Retired Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga, says it appears that this was done deliberately.

He did not mention the name or pseudonym of the affected witness.

Madlanga emphasised that in terms of the Commission's Act and regulations, it's a criminal offence to act in a manner that prejudices the Inquiry's proceedings.
