Parents of learners at the Curro private school in Bloemfontein demonstrated outside the school to express their dissatisfaction with the alleged bullying incidents occurring at the school.

The parents accuse the new executive head of the school of bullying teachers and learners.

They also claim that this environment of bullying has forced some teachers to leave.

They have accused the executive head of unilaterally revoking traditional privileges from the learners, and threatening to cancel their matric dance.

The disciplinary measures were introduced after silent protest action by some learners who wanted to demonstrate their dissatisfaction with the handling of their concerns.
