Dwarsloop residents demand the scrapping of rates & taxes bills

Some residents in Dwarsloop, in the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality in Mpumalanga, are demanding that their rates and taxes invoices be cancelled.

They claim the municipality has been charging them services they have not provided since 2012.

The residents owe the municipality millions in unpaid bills, which they say they are unable to afford. The homeowners have since met with municipal officials to try and find a solution.
