Desmond Lee on security measures in schools after ISA detains youths

Education Minister Desmond Lee said schools will not introduce blanket security measures such as 100 per cent bag checks or metal detectors following recent youth radicalisation cases uncovered by Singapore's Internal Security Department.

Speaking on Monday (Jul 27) alongside Minister for Home Affairs K Shanmugam, Mr Lee said schools must remain safe and conducive places for learning, adding that building a vigilant school community remains key to keeping students safe. #sgnews #singapore
