Analysis on Adv. Andrea Johnson resignation and returning to the stand on Madlanga Commission

President Cyril Ramaphosa has accepted the request from the Head of the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption, Advocate Andrea Johnson, to be immediately released from office.

In a letter seen by the SABC, Johnson described the past five months as challenging, adding that the "attacks" on both her person and official capacity have been unprecedented.

Advocate Johnson has faced complaints against her actions and alleged conduct on the charges and prosecution relating to SAPS Crime Intelligence head Lt-Gen Dumisani Khumalo, Brigadier Dineo Mokwele and other accused.

Advocate Johnson is also expected to continue with her testimony at the Madlanga Commission later this morning.
