Immigration Crisis | 28,000 deportations conducted so far

The Inter-Ministerial Committee on Migration has reported no violation of human rights during the process of verifying and deporting undocumented migrants at several Temporary Repatriation Processing Centres.

Addressing the media in Pretoria on Sunday, Committee Chairperson Mmamoloko Kubayi touched on a foreign national who lost their life during the operation, as well as child protection measures and support services for women and children and other vulnerable groups that have been provided.

According to Kubayi, to date, 28-thousand deportations have been conducted through the different Ports of Entry and airport authorities.
