Call for accountability on water service provision

WaterCAN has welcomed the Presidency's National Water Action Plan and the creation of Watercom, but warns that South Africa needs action, not more promises.

The organisation says many of the proposed solutions have been discussed for years, with the real challenge being poor implementation and a lack of accountability.

WaterCAN is urging Watercom to enforce deadlines, ensure transparent reporting and hold institutions accountable.
