N West farmer embraces traditional farming methods

A 34-year-old farmer, Tlamelo Petrose from Kgokgole Village, on the outskirts of Ganyesa in the North West province, is proving that limited resources do not have to stand in the way of achieving one's dreams.

Despite lacking modern farming equipment, his passion for agriculture has never wavered.

Determined to keep his dream alive, Petrose has embraced traditional farming methods, using donkeys to plough his fields in preparation for the planting season.

This enterprising spirit, has allowed him to grow a diversified farming business, that employs more than 40 seasonal workers.
