The Indian weightlifting icon clinched India's first gold at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, setting Games records with a 190kg total (85kg Snatch, 105kg Clean & Jerk) to become the first Indian weightlifter to win three Commonwealth Games gold medals.

Fighting through the toughest challenge of maintaining the 48kg category, Mirabai said hearing the National Anthem after her victory brought tears of joy and dedicated the gold to every Indian who prayed for her. Her focus now shifts to the Asian Games.
