EFF's manifesto launch, birthday celebration a good strategy: Analyst

Today marks a significant milestone for the Economic Freedom Fighters as the party celebrates its 13th anniversary while launching its 2026 Local Government Election manifesto in Thohoyandou, Limpopo.

Since its formation in 2013, the EFF has established itself as one of South Africa's most influential opposition parties, shaping debates on land reform, economic transformation and youth unemployment.

Today's manifesto launch is expected to outline the party's vision for municipalities ahead of the 4 November local government elections and provide insight into its strategy for expanding its electoral footprint.
