#WATCH | Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the 133rd episode of Mann Ki Baat, said India’s rich food traditions go far beyond taste and highlighted the growing global recognition of Indian cheese.

PM Modi noted that two Indian cheese brands recently won prestigious awards at an international competition in Brazil and spoke about the diversity of Indian varieties from Jammu and Kashmir’s Kalari, known as the “Mozzarella of Kashmir,” to Chhurpi made from yak milk in Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh, and Topli Nu Paneer (Surti Cheese) from Maharashtra and Gujarat.

PM Modi said value addition in the dairy sector is helping traditional Indian flavours reach global plates.
