Western Cape High Court halts Ramaphosa impeachment process

The Western Cape High Court has ruled in favour of President Cyril Ramaphosa, and interdicted the Impeachment Committee from proceeding against him.

The President approached the court last month to halt the process, pending the review of the Section 89 Independent Panel report.

In November 2022, the report found that he has a case to answer regarding the Phala Phala farm theft.
