Taxi associations cancel planned Gauteng shutdown

There will be no taxi strike or shutdown in Gauteng.

Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport, Kedibone Diale-Tlabela, announced this after meeting with the South African National Taxi Council, and the National Taxi Alliance, in Pretoria.

The taxi associations had threatened a provincial strike and shutdown, should their demands over what they termed operating licence delays not be met within 7 days.
