Refugees stranded outside Home Affairs office in Durban

Hundreds of refugees, mainly from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, remain stranded outside a Home Affairs office in Durban.

They say even though they have documents to be in the country, they have nowhere safe to go after fleeing their homes following protests against undocumented foreign nationals.

Many say they've lost their homes, their jobs, and their sense of security. Now, with children out of school and fearing for their lives, the group is pleading for protection.
