Johannesburg prepares for water disruptions

Rand Water is conducting major planned maintenance from today, 29 May to 17 July 2026, resulting in water outages across Johannesburg and surrounding municipalities.

The most severe disruptions are expected from today, 29 May, until 2 June, during a 96-hour shutdown, with additional interruptions planned for 17 July 2026.

Johannesburg Water says water tankers and stationary tanks will be deployed to affected areas to assist residents during the disruptions.
