Ensuring Safety Of Indians In Gulf Region

#WATCH | Our efforts are focused on ensuring the safety and welfare of the Indian community in the region. We are in constant touch with State Governments and Union Territories to share information and coordinate response.Indian Embassies and Consulates are actively assisting the community, operating 24x7 helplines, maintaining close contact with local authorities, and issuing regular advisories on travel, regulations, consular services, and welfare measures. Our Missions are also engaging continuously with Indian community groups, associations, professionals, and companies.On recent incidents off the coast of Oman: a Palau-flagged vessel carrying 24 Indian crew members was safely evacuated, and all are expected to return soon. In another attack on the vessel MT Settebello, 21 Indian nationals were rescued, while unfortunately three lost their lives; repatriation of mortal remains is being coordinated. A further vessel, MT Jalveer, carrying 20 Indian crew members, is safe, and the situation is being closely monitored with Omani authorities.These incidents are deeply concerning.
