EU officials agree on 21st sanction package against Russia | Morning Report

EU AMBASSADORS BACK 21ST SANCTIONS PACKAGE
Ambassadors from the 27 EU member states have reached a preliminary agreement regarding the 21st sanctions package against Russia. These latest measures will reportedly freeze the price cap on Russian crude at 44.1 dollars per barrel for a year.

RUBIO MET LAVROV IN MANILA
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the ASEAN forum in Manila on Wednesday. The meeting, Rubio and Lavrov’s first in nearly a year, reportedly lasted half an hour.
