UNIVEN corruption investigation nears completion, officials suspended

The University of Venda in Limpopo says an investigation into allegations of corruption against two of its high-ranking officials will be concluded soon.

The university's council has put its Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Dr Bernard Nthambeleni and Chief Operations Officer, Lonwabo Botwe Kraziya, on precautionary suspension.

This follows allegations of corruption relating to multi-million rand budget overruns on construction projects at the university. Lutendo Bobodi reports.
