Singapore announces Cabinet reshuffle

Under a Cabinet reshuffle announced on Wednesday (Jul 22), Mr Jeffrey Siow, Mr David Neo and Ms Sim Ann will be promoted to ministers, and Mr Ng Chee Meng will return as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office.

Mr K Shanmugam will be appointed Senior Minister and he will continue as Coordinating Minister for National Security, and Minister for Home Affairs.

Current Manpower Minister Tan See Leng will be appointed Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry), giving up his Manpower Ministry role.

Ms Jasmin Lau will be made Acting Minister for Manpower. The appointments take effect Jul 27, 2026. #sgnews #singapore
