The ongoing war in Iran has cost about US$37.5 billion so far, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told senators on Tuesday (Jul 21) as he called for additional defence funding. Hegseth provided the new estimate, up from earlier assessments, during a fiery Senate Appropriations Committee hearing.
