First-ever trilingual Kaaps dictionary launched

In a historic event at the Castle of Good Hope in Cape Town, one of the first ever trilingual dictionaries for Kaaps, Afrikaans and English was launched. Kaaps is a language spoken by people that predominantly live and grew up in the Mother City. Pre-dating Afrikaans, the roots of Kaaps can be traced to slavery and remains the language of millions of Capetonians. The dictionary is aimed at broadening the linguistic scope in the country, but also to give Kaaps the rightful, and respectful platform, it deserves.
