EC winter initiation season marred by 14 deaths

As the winter initiation season in the Eastern Cape draws to a close, concerns have been raised on the alarming deaths that the season has recorded.

To date 14 initiates have died with the bulk of them being recorded in the OR Tambo District Municipality.

Dehydration accounts for the majority of these deaths.
