Minister Pule vows to end long queues at SASSA

SASSA grant recipients may soon see the end of long queues.

New Social Development Minister, Dina Pule, says that's one of her major priorities.

Pule and the South African Social Security Agency have briefed the media in Pretoria, on her department's strategic direction and plans to strengthen and enhance service delivery.

At the same time, SASSA plans to hire about a thousand contract workers to help improve its services.

This will cost taxpayers about R40-million.
