Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has told US President Donald Trump that Lebanon's “ultimate objective” is to end hostilities with Israel “forever”, following a US-backed framework agreement. Aoun is in Washington seeking US support for an Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
