CRL Commission confirms 43 winter initiation season deaths

The winter initiation season has been marred by the deaths of 43 initiates around South Africa. The Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities says the highest number of fatalities was recorded in Mpumalanga. The Commission has sent condolences to the grieving families, saying they have been robbed of their sons.
