Taylor Farms ‘false positive’ for cyclospora

The search for the cause of an outbreak of cyclospora in the United States is back to Square 1. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said laboratory experts rechecked lettuce sample results ​in the Taylor Farms ​cyclospora investigation and concluded the finding ​should be considered ⁠a ⁠false ‌positive. As of Sunday, there were no ⁠confirmed positive sample results for the parasite, which has infected more than 1,640 people across five states, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
