Faishal Ibrahim resigns from all political roles over interactions with female member of public

Associate Professor Faishal Ibrahim has resigned from political office over online messages he exchanged with a woman. The former acting minister-in-charge of Muslim affairs called it a lapse of judgment on his part, admitting he had failed to establish clearer boundaries at an earlier stage. Senior Minister of State Zaqy Mohamad has been named the acting minister-in-charge of Muslim affairs with immediate effect.
