PAP Chairman Desmond Lee fields questions on Faishal’s resignation

There will be no by-election for the vacated seat in Kembangan, People’s Action Party (PAP) chairman Desmond Lee said as he fielded questions from the media regarding the resignation of Assoc Prof Faishal Ibrahim as political office holder and party member on Monday (Jul 20).

Assoc Prof Faishal had stepped down from his political roles and as a member of the People's Action Party after he admitted his interactions with a woman "fell short" of the standards required of a political office holder.

Mr Lee added that maintaining high standards of integrity and conduct is fundamental to the PAP. #sgnews #singapore
