*Witness M is expected to testify behind closed doors at the Madlanga Commission today on the alleged shipment of drugs in evidence that is set to implicate Heads of State, terrorist organisations, politically linked individuals, drug syndicates and more.
The Commission is tasked with investigating allegations of criminality, political interference and corruption in the criminal justice system.

*Members of the Political Killings Task Team and Gauteng Counter Intelligence Operations will appear before the Gauteng South High Court where accused persons, including the alleged mastermind of these contract killings, Cat Matlala, will stand trial on the attempted murders of businessman Joe Sibanyoni and five others, media personality Tebogo Thobejane and three others, and musician DJ Vettys and two others.

*Suspended EMPD deputy chief Julius Mkhwanazi and Witness K are set to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court today after spending the weekend behind bars.
Mkhwanazi was arrested on Friday for alleged involvement in the theft of precious stones worth nearly 15-million-rand in 2023.

*At least six people were killed and 21 injured after two earthquakes struck a mountainous region of Peru yesterday.
The quakes, measuring magnitudes 5.1 and 3.7, hit on Saturday night in Chupaca province in the Junín region.

*Substitute Ferran Torres netted the winner at the start of the second period of extra time as Spain beat Argentina 1-0 to win the World Cup for the Second time in their history.
