IDAC | Importance of protecting state institutions

National Prosecution Authority spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago has stressed the importance of protecting state institutions and ensuring they are not unnecessarily brought into disrepute, arguing that public confidence in the country's justice system must be preserved.

His remarks echo those of retired Judge Takalani Raulinga, the IDAC Oversight Judge, who has repeatedly emphasized the need to safeguard the credibility and independence of institutions tasked with combating corruption and upholding the rule of law.

Meanwhile, specialist investigator Mike Bolhuis believes many of the unanswered questions surrounding the allegations including abuse of power by IDAC officials are likely to be addressed once the Madlanga Commission has completed its work.
