In a critical step for Kyiv’s EU ambitions, all 27 member states have greenlit the opening of the first cluster of accession negotiations for Ukraine and Moldova. Russian attacks against Ukraine have killed 18 people and wounded nearly one hundred.
Kyiv announced on Thursday that it had struck a Russian border patrol vessel in the Kerch Strait amid a wave of Ukrainian long-range strikes targeting Russian logistics routes to the occupied peninsula.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned on Wednesday of the risk of escalation as Ukraine intensifies its attacks on Russia.
To discuss this and more, Ukraine Brief host Ashim Kumar is joined by Andrii Mikheiev, an expert in international law at the International Centre for Ukrainian Victory.
