Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi and National Director of Public Prosecution, Adv Andy mothibi have raised conerns about the image of the Investigating Directorate against Corruption, (IDAC) after serious allegations were leveled against senior leadership of IDAC.
This week the head of the institution, Advocate Andrea Johnson, was meant to have appeared before the Madlanga commission, however she did not, after a sicknnote was sent to the commission.
Speaking to SABC News specialist correspondent Sophie Mokoena on the sidelines of the South Africa-Namibia Bi-national Commission, Mmamoloko Kubayi said the IDAC is an important institution whose credibility must be respected
Her comments come ahead the much-anticipated first media briefing of the IDAC oversight judge on Sunday.
