National Treasury | Funds have been released to 42 compliant municipalities

The decision to withhold the financial support of the equitable share transfer to 69 municipalities by the National Treasury was done as a corrective, not as a punitive measure.

That's what the Director General of the National Treasury Dr. Duncan Pieterse told a joint meeting of four committees of Parliament that were discussing the matter yesterday.
