Violent protests erupt after knife attack in Belfast

Protests have emerged across northern Belfast in response to a knife attack that left one man with ‘significant injuries’ to his eyes, face and back Monday evening. The suspect, a 30-year-old Sudanese national, was charged on Tuesday evening with attempted murder, possession of an article with blade or point in a ⁠public place and threats to kill.
