Former DOJ lawyer says she was asked to ‘rubber stamp’ a favor for Trump

Former Department of Justice Lawyer Elizabeth Oyer told the Senate Judiciary Committee that two days after Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche was confirmed as deputy attorney general, he fired her for refusing to restore firearm rights for a convicted domestic abuser and friend of President Donald Trump. Oyer says she was pressured to go along with it, but she refused and was fired from her job.
