#France legalizes assisted dying

France has legalized assisted dying after the National Assembly approved the measure by 291 votes to 241. The law allows eligible adults with a serious and incurable terminal illness to request medical assistance to end their lives, subject to strict legal and medical conditions. France now becomes the sixth European country to legalize assisted dying.
