Joburg demolishes illegal structures at Marble Towers

The City of Johannesburg has intensified its inner-city by-law enforcement campaign, by demolishing illegal structures inside the iconic Marble Towers building.

This is due to serious by-law violations.

In May, the building's owners approached the Gauteng High Court to try and interdict the city’s plan to remove the structures and close the building.

The court ruled in the city's favour.
