Precious stones theft suspects back in court - Chriselda Lewis reports

The case of three suspects arrested by police watchdog IPID for the alleged unlawful raid at a Johannesburg property where they seized precious stones worth nearly 15-million rand are due back in the Johannesburg Magistrates court.

They are expected to bring a formal bail application.

They are former Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department officer Kersha-leigh Stols, suspended EMPD officer Adrian MacKenzie and businessman Etienne van der Walt.

Two other suspects are yet to be arrested and the sixth suspect has since died.
