NPA confident about Omotoso: Adv Jazz Vilakazi shares more

The Supreme Court of Appeal has granted the NPA leave to appeal the acquittal of televangelist Timothy Omotoso and his co-accused, Lusanda Solani and Zukiswa Sitho, by the High Court in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape in 2024.

The trio faced a string of charges including, rape, sexual assault and human trafficking, but were acquitted as the state had failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.

An application for leave to appeal filed by the NPA was also dismissed by the High Court in Gqeberha.
