AMCU remembers Marikana massacre

Trade union AMCU is questioning what it says is a lack of true economic freedom for workers 14 years after the Marikana massacre.

On 16 August 2012, 34 mineworkers were shot and killed by the SAPS during a six-weeks wildcat strike at the Lonmin platinum mine at Marikana near Rustenburg, North West.
