* The Western Cape High court will today commence with proceedings in President Cyril Ramaphosa's urgent bid to halt Parliament's Section 89 impeachment proceedings. The President wants the Parliamentary process suspended, pending the review of the Section 89 Independent Panel report, that found that he has a prima facie case to answer over the Phala Phala matter.
* Attempted murder accused Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala is expected to take the stand at the Madlanga Commission this morning. His testimony was initially scheduled for last week, but was postponed, to allow him time to finalise his witness statement.
* Former Minister of Police, Fikile Mbalula will be in the hot seat at the Inquiry probing the handling of Truth and Reconciliation Commission cases. The commission is looking into allegations that post-apartheid police officials and prosecutors deliberately stalled investigations into TRC cases that were referred for possible prosecution.
