Trek4Mandela | Climbers tackle Mount Kilimanjaro

The 2026 Trek4Mandela expedition has begun its ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

Climbers are tackling Africa's highest peak to fight period poverty and support the Caring4Girls initiative.

Sibusiso Vilane, the first Black African to complete the Explorers Grand Slam, is guiding the 2026 climbers on the Marangu and Machame routes.

This year's summit (2026) coincides with Mandela Day.
