Heavy rainfall triggered by Typhoon Bavi flooded Anshan in northeast China's Liaoning Province, leaving motorists and residents stranded. Emergency crews rushed to rescue trapped people, using inflatable boats to navigate flooded streets, while police cleared fallen trees blocking roads. More than 126 millimeters of rain fell overnight, prompting a red rainstorm alert and school closures across the city.
