Lassa fever deaths over 200

Nigerian health authorities say more than 200 people have died in the country's latest Lassa fever outbreak.

According to the Nigeria Centres for Disease Control, the disease has become deadlier this year, with the fatality rate rising from 18.7% in 2025, to 24% this year.
