As Middle East tensions persist, the humanitarian situation has worsened, particularly in Iran, Lebanon, Syria and Palestine. Across the region, over 1.2 million children have been displaced amid bombardments and evacuation orders. "I am incredibly grateful for the support that China is providing through us to the children," says Kitty van der Heijden, UNICEF deputy executive director for partnerships, while appreciating China's child mortality reduction over 90% in just a few decades, driven by a clear "Awareness–Ambition–Action" approach.
